DIY Bracelets with Snap Swivels

Don’t tell my husband, but I think I like fishing. I learned some basic skills as a kid on our family vacations to the mountains and had a chance to brush up again this summer.
It’s super boring (fishing, I mean – not bracelet making!), and I don’t want to be on a boat all day (unless there is wine and music). The main reason I like fishing is because of the tackle.
I mean, Power Bait comes in all kinds of pretty colors including marbled and glitter varieties. And snap swivels aren’t just for your tackle box. They also make a super cute homemade bracelet!
This easy do-it-yourself jewelry doesn’t require any skill! And the finished product looks super cute whether you wear it on its own, or along with other bracelets.
This is a super easy craft that is ready in no time at all.
Supplies
The only item you need is snap swivels.
I picked up these small packs of Snap Swivels at Walmart, but you can get them from just about any sporting goods store.
These come in all different sizes and colors. Plus, you could always spray paint them if your heart needs you to. The heart wants what it wants.
Snap swivels are totally inexpensive! I also only needed to open one pack to make my bracelet (I used 5 swivels to make my bracelet).
It’s great that these are fairly adjustable, but the swivels are a certain length and so you can’t modify the finished length too much.
Directions
And all you do to make the bracelet is open the part that resembles a safety-pin, and thread on the loop from the bottom of the next snap swivel.
Monkeys (or your children) can do this. Continue until it fits your wrist to your liking.
SO easy, right! These bring back such fun memories of those fishing vacations. Have you ever made these bracelets before? I’ve also heard them called Fishes of Men bracelets…but I don’t really know what that means!

Snap Swivel Bracelets
Ingredients
- 5 snap swivels or more to fit your wrist
Instructions
- Open the part of the snap swivel that resembles a safety pin.
- Thread the open part through the loop on the bottom of the next snap swivel.
- Close the top of the snap swivel.
- Continue this pattern until you've gotten the bracelt to the correct length to fit your wrist.
