Tips and Tricks

  • Be sure to taste your drink and adjust the flavors to your liking. I like to use the fresh lemon to add brightness and for extra tartness.
  • Club soda can be a little bit too fizzy for some people. You can also try a gentler sparkling water as a substitute.
  • In addition to, or in lieu of the lemon twist, try adding edible rose petals as a garnish or a rose rim.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of rosé should I use?

It really doesn’t matter what type of rosé you use in this cocktail. Easy, right?

Rosé is made with red grapes that are only in contact with the skins for a little while giving it that pink color and distinct flavor.

There are all kinds of flavor profiles across pink wine. White Zinfandel is super sweet. I prefer a more dry rosé from Provence. They all work! That’s the beauty of this versatile recipe.

What type of lemonade should I use?

Again, there’s no wrong answer to what type of lemonade you should use. I prefer to use something store-bought so I don’t have to squeeze a zillion lemons.

But fresh lemonade would be even more flavorful! You can even use pink lemonade if you want. It will give it an even more pink color.

You could even use a lavender lemonade to introduce another flavor element.

When should I drink rosé?

Rosé is a versatile wine that is perfect just about any time of year, but it is one of my favorites for sipping poolside in the summertime. If you can’t decide between red or white, opt for rosé.
