Easy Alcohol Free Kids Sangria Recipe
This Kid’s Sangria recipe is alcohol-free and is totally easy to make. It makes them feel like they are getting a special treat! If your kids are anything like mine, they love to have virgin cocktails. And since I love sangria, I knew that the kids probably would like a virgin white sangria too.
This non alcoholic sangria is tasty and good enough for adults to enjoy too. It’s not as good as sangria sangria, because, no wine.
This kid’s sangria is a great way to start the conversation about drinking responsibly. I make sure to be open with my kids about what it means to make good choices and why drinking isn’t right for kids.
Kids are savvier than ever, so I am making sure I have those hard conversations and create an open dialogue so that they learn more than just what they see on TV or Youtube.

My kids LOVE soda (which I try not to give them too much of). And they’ve recently become interested in my world of cocktails because they see me make them for our neighborhood happy hour and for this blog.
With all the special tools and specialty ingredients, they are always asking questions about drinks and wanting to use the strainer or jigger. I decided to create a non-alcoholic sangria for kids as a special treat.

And while there isn’t much soda in this recipe, it’s still enough to make the kids feel like it’s a special occasion.
With fresh fruit, this recipe mimics mom’s sangria (you NEED to try this pear version) without any of the alcohol. It’s a great mocktail idea or party drink to serve your kids!

Ingredient Notes
- White grape juice
- Lemon lime soda
- Fresh fruit like watermelon, strawberries, lime, peach and orange
White grape juice is a great way to add flavor and keep the color close to what white wine looks like.
Regular grape juice will make this kids sangria look more like a red wine sangria.
How to Make Sangria for Kids
1. Cut the fruit
I quickly prepped the fruit by cutting it into slices or rounds. It looks pretty and the more surface area you have, the more flavor will be released. I mean the best part of sangria is the fruitiness and kid’s sangria is no different.
2. Add the cut fruit to a large pitcher or container
3. Add the grape juice and stir
4. Cover and chill in the fridge
Put the juice and fruit into the refrigerator to chillax. I left it overnight. Basically, you just want the fruit to infuse its flavor into the juice and to me, leaving it overnight lets everything mix and mingle.
I mean, I really shouldn’t even call this a recipe. It’s the easiest virgin drink for kids and it’s just putting fruit in juice. But that makes for a funny-sounding recipe name.
How to Serve
To serve the no alcohol sangria, pour the fruit-infused juice in a glass and top with approximately 1/2 cup of lemon-lime soda.
It can be served over ice or without since everything should be cold already.
To make this virgin sangria look like traditional sangria, make sure that each glass gets some of the fruit from the pitcher.
Tips
- Obvi, make sure you don’t have your own sangria hanging around so the kids can mix them up.
- You can stick to just a few types of fruit or add a whole bunch of different kinds. What I love about this is that you can change it up a little bit each time you make it for a slightly different flavor profile.
- I prefer to use store-brand Lemon-Lime soda. I feel like it has more flavor than some of the name brands.
- Don’t want to use soda? You can use sparkling water to give it a little fizz without extra sugar.
