You know how there are certain recipes that you come across and they get stuck in your head because you just HAVE to try it? For me, that was Milk Punch.

Here’s how to make my non-dairy Bourbon Milk Punch recipe.

Easy Non Dairy Milk Punch Recipe.

Milk punch is a cocktail recipe, milk-based, that is sometimes hot, sometimes cold, uses different liquors, and has warm spices, like cinnamon.

It’s a little bit similar to this Coconut White Russian so I knew that I would probably really like it. Turns out, I REALLY like this drink.

The older I get, the more attention I am paying to my body. I’m learning that my body doesn’t like a lot of dairy.

I was really curious about the idea of making Milk Punch but I knew that I probably wouldn’t drink much of it.

My milk alternative of choice is almond milk so I decided to try this cocktail using that as a base instead of regular milk.

Winter is the perfect time of year for milk punch. Even though I made a cold version, the holiday-like spices make this feel warm and cozy.

The trick is using a really good Almond Milk and your favorite spirit or spirits. And vanilla.

It has to have vanilla.

I’ve read a ton of great things about Califia Farms Almond milk so I grabbed that to be the base of this milk punch recipe. It didn’t disappoint.

It’s creamy and delicious!

I set out to make a Bourbon Milk Punch recipe but when I tasted it, I wanted more depth. I used rum in my spiced daiquiri recipe and knew it would be the perfect addition to this drink.

Man, I really like spiced rum.

If you look up “milk punch” you’ll find that every recipe includes vanilla.

I accidentally left it out at first and it definitely was not the same without it. Don’t even think about skipping it.

It’s an easy cocktail to make. You just add the ingredients to a cocktail shaker, shake and pour. Done.

While there is the word “punch” in the name, it is not actually a punch in the sense that you will have enough to serve a lot of people.

Easy Milk Punch Recipe with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Most of the research I did on this cocktail (remember I’ve had my eye on these for quite some time!) says to finish off the cocktail with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg.

While I love how it looks, I really wanted more of that flavor throughout. The spiced rum adds in some of these spicey flavors, but I used my cocktail straw to mix these in a little bit more.

YUM! There is something about the smell of nutmeg that gets me every time! I think it might be one of my favorite smells. EVER.
