Variations

A flavored Moscow Mule is delish so feel free to change up the recipe to make it fit your flavor preferences.

  • Liquor – You don’t have to stick to vodka. Bourbon, whisky, and even spiced rum would also be delicious in a Vanilla Mule.
  • Add spices – Make this even more delicious with a Vanilla Cinnamon Simple Syrup.
  • Flavored Vodka – Add more layers of flavor with flavored vodka. Something like vanilla vodka or an apple vodka would be super tasty!

Top tip

  • Don’t fill up the copper mug all the way to the top. You only want to add between 3-4 ounces to keep the flavors balanced.
  • A few dashes of bitters can help perfectly finish the cocktail if you feel like it needs a little bit more dimension. The spices pair really well with the vanilla syrup.
  • Do not use bottled lime juice. Fresh is needed to give this cocktail the brightness it needs!
