The addition of lavender bitters amplifies that floral flavor that I LOVE.

Tips and Tricks

  • Seriously, be careful with the lavender bitters. Too many drops will ruin this drink.
  • If making these Haus Mules for a group, pre-squeeze your lemon juice ahead of time! The drinks will come together much faster.
  • I love Reed’s brand Ginger Beer, but any brand will work.
  • You can use other flavors of Haus to make Moscow Mules too. Just leave out the lavender bitters and replace them with regular bitters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you need a copper mug for Moscow Mules?

A copper mug is designed to react to the temperature of what’s inside it. So when sipping a chilled Moscow Mule, the cold sensation is heightened even more. It makes for an awesome cocktail experience. But you can drink a Haus Mule out of another type of glass and it will still be delicious.

Is ginger beer alcoholic?

While there are some “hard” ginger beers on the market, most ginger beer is non-alcoholic. Like root beer, it’s similar to ginger ale, but has more of a ginger bite.

Can I make this in a shaker?

This Haus Mule can mostly be made in a shaker. A shaker gets things nice and cold and mixed really well. Add your ingredients, minus the ginger beer to a shaker, then add ice. Shake well, strain over fresh ice and top with ginger beer. Do NOT shake ginger beer. The carbonation could explode.

  1. I can’t seem to find lemon lavender haus? Any suggestions?

    1. I’m so sorry I’m just seeing this comment right now! Haus is out of business at the moment. I’m trying to figure out how to update all my old content and recipes. I think the best swap would be to probably use 1 ounce of lemon instead of .5 and then use lavender bitters as well as several drops of regular bitters.
